The Bank
Milton

Tucked away within the highly regarded North Oxfordshire village of Milton, Well Cottage is a charming two-bedroom stone cottage combining period character with comfortable, well-proportioned accommodation.

The property has been extended over the years and offers a particularly appealing layout. The sitting room is full of character, with exposed beams and a log-burning stove set within a stone surround creating a wonderfully cosy focal point.

Beyond is the kitchen/dining room, providing plenty of space for both everyday living and entertaining. Fitted with a range of cabinetry, wooden work surfaces and a traditional Butler sink, the room enjoys windows to two aspects as well as a stable door opening directly onto the rear garden.

Upstairs are two well-proportioned bedrooms, both benefiting from built-in storage. The principal bedroom is particularly characterful, with an exposed brick chimney breast.

The family bathroom is generously proportioned and fitted with both a freestanding roll-top bath and separate walk-in shower, complemented by exposed wooden flooring and a Velux window providing plenty of natural light.

A particular advantage for a village cottage is the property's own driveway, providing off-road parking.

The front garden is predominantly laid to lawn and enclosed by established hedging, while pedestrian access leads around to the rear.

The enclosed rear garden provides a lovely extension of the living space, with a decked seating area ideal for outdoor dining, an area of lawn and established flower and shrub borders. Adding further character is an original working well, a charming feature and nod to the cottage’s history. A timber garden shed provides useful additional storage.
