I’m Sam Johnson, a Partner at Hortons covering Chester and the surrounding areas.

I’ve worked in the property industry for over 15 years, across family-run businesses, independents, and operational roles. Over that time, I’ve been directly involved in the sale and valuation of hundreds of properties, with total sales in excess of £275m.

Alongside estate agency, I’m also an active property developer, investor, and landlord, which gives me a broader, real-world perspective on value, pricing, and decision-making. I understand property from every angle — not just selling it, but owning it, improving it, and managing it long-term.

I chose to work as a Partner at Hortons so I could keep my client list deliberately small and offer a genuinely personal service. Every client deals directly with me from start to finish, with honest advice, clear communication, and no unnecessary pressure.

My approach is simple: treat every property as if it were my own, be straight with people, and focus on getting the best possible outcome rather than just the quickest one.
