Hortons is a property agency created for the modern world.
Our story
Adam Horton started his career in property as an apprentice aged just 17, and progressed quickly at a traditional high street estate agency. A few years later in 2013, Adam set up his first estate agency business. The goal was to provide a local and more modern way to sell your home.
Today, in its simplest form, Hortons is a property agency that specialises in marketing, selling and letting homes. We’ve torn up the rule book and have built an agency fit for the modern world with professional, experienced agents at its core. Clients work with their own personal agent, known as a Partner, to ensure they get a high level of service and the very best advice. Partners are backed by Hortons’ industry leading support and marketing teams, meaning clients’ homes reach the widest audience possible.

Since opening 2013, Hortons has evolved and grown to become one of the leading estate agencies across the East Midlands. Here are a few of key milestones over the years.

Adam launches Horton Estate Agents, aged 20.

2014
Horton signs started popping up across Leicester, but unfortunately the business closed a year later.
2014
2016
Adam and Chloe Horton rebrand and relaunch as Hortons Estate Agents.
2016
2017
The business starts to expand across Leicestershire.
2017
2018
Hortons win Leicester Mercury's Start up Business of the Year
2018

Team grows to 15 people with coverages across Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
2018
2019
Hortons receive private equity backing to strengthen growth in the region.
2019
2020
Hortons becomes one of the largest regional estate agencies.
2020
2021
Hortons expands covering Leiecstershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Rutland and Northamptonshire.

Hortons launches their lettings division; Hortons Lettings.
